Black Forest
The Black Forest gateaux has two layers of 'sugar syrup soaked' chocolate sponge, which is sandwiched with a layer of fresh cream and black cherries. Topped with a generous coating of fresh cream, the gateaux is decorated with grated chocolate and red cherries.
While a full 1Kg cake is round in shape and can be cut into 12 wedges, a piece of Black Forest that is listed below is prepared separately, and is rectangular in shape.
